Loveland Pass

I love this alpine road that takes you to the top of the continental divide and down into either Loveland Ski area or Arapahoe Basin. In winter the road stays open no matter the weather. Horizontal snow white-outs or sweet alpine glow I find time here high in the mountains is always a relief.

For this trip I took my trusty Nikon FM and 50mm Ais, beyond the fact it’s a great camera it’s also my dad’s old camera from college. It’s been dropped on the hard sandstone of Slick Rock Loop flown to India, and has camped high in the Sawtooth Wilderness. Out of all the film cameras I own this is hands down one of my favorite tools to create images worth sharing.
