There’s more to Oregon then just waterfalls and rivers but honestly that’s what this trip was all about. I had my neutral density filters and tripod and all I wanted to do was capture the passage of time in these powerful environments. With only a couple days to explore this wild place and being based in Portland I had a great time hitting tourist traps and going so far out no one was around. When I was there the entire Columbia River Gorge Scenic Byway was closed because of a recent wildfire. I really shook me as to how fragile these places are and how much of a privilege it is to be able to photograph these places. Going to locations like these simply helps stimulate the mind and the soul.
