I can’t say that I am an expert in engagement photos, but I can say they are some of the most fun. I love capturing the genuine surprise and emotion as well as knowing these images will be cherished for many years to come.
A good portrait stops time and provides context for the past. What I enjoy about portrait work is the ability to capture personality, spirit, and the feeling of the present.
This was actually where I first started falling in love with photography. Cars have always been a part of my life so it was one of my first subjects. I really enjoy playing with rollers and long exposure to capture truly interesting car images.
Sports and action is what I wanted to shoot the most. I shot for Maxpreps and spent a lot of time photographing for the athletics program at The College of Idaho. Good sports photography is hard and when you get that action shot, there’s no better feeling. I have experience shooting football, soccer, volleyball, lacrosse, track and field, freestyle skiing, super pipe, and just about anything in between.
Doodling has always been a creative release for me. Sitting down and thinking of simple but storytelling doodles is something that I have always had a passion for. Just recently I have decided to mix this release with my main passion of creating a story in images. For me it is a perfect mix of pure creativity and photographic images.
