Soo.... I may or may not have made a questionable camera purchase. I've been wanting to get a large format film camera for a while and now that I am making money it gotten dangerous. About a month ago I bought a Graflex Speed Graphic from eBay at first with excitement and then some regret. I honestly got a great deal and lucked out with a speed graphic that works. But it was definitely the wrong time to buy it and I underestimated how much money it take to get a large format camera running.
That being said I got a cool camera. It was produced by Graflex in the early 1940s as a press camera. It has a rangefinder as well as a rear focal plain shutter capable of a 1000th of a second which if really fast for large format. These cameras were used in WWII as a war camera and documented countless historic events. I just recently got a Wollensak 127mm F4.5 yellow dot lens and I can't wait to see how it renders images. The real reason for getting this camera is that the negatives when scanned will be nearly 250MP which will beat almost any digital camera out there. Here's to making bad discussions and buying cool cameras.
