I’m not a big black friday person and usually I completely ignore it, but this year I did need to pick up a couple things for my up and coming trip to India. Now this trip to India is nothing terribly rugged or crazy but I decided to finally get a nice battery pack to take with me. I figured that it would be a really good thing to have around for me and others in the group. Now I wasn’t after some normal chunky battery box I knew I wanted something I’d use more then once.
I’ve known about Goal Zero for a long time I would say that they are the best in the market for making portable batteries for any use. When I was in patrol and had my pro-deal I was lucky enough to learn all about these products and knew they were the only choice.
I bought this pack for a couple of reasons. First, I wanted something that I can carry with me everywhere if I needed and something that had enough power to charge my computer and other devices, like my camera batteries. I also knew that it had to be carry on approved so that I could carry it on the plane. Finally, I knew that in the future I could buy solar panels so that it could turn into a fully mobile power device.
All in all this has been a great product and I’m very glad with my purchase. One of the things that has come in handy is the wireless charging that’s built it. It allows me to charge anyones device even if they don’t have a charging cable. I’m also impressed with the capacity, I get about a charge and a third on my laptop or 7 or 8 charges on my phone. I was at first worried about was the size but, it is just about perfect really. It’s not too heavy or too big and can fit in any main area, also with it being made of aluminum it’s extremely tough and resistant to being thrown around.
I’ve really appreciated this little device and I hope it last we a long time. The only thing I wish it had was just a straight plug or inverter. The 60w output through lightning bolt is great but it would be nice to plug my camera charger directly into it. Other then that I would definitely recommend this battery pack.
