Well it’s my first week back in St. Louis for my second year of grad school and it’s going to be pretty busy I think, but so far so good. So much so I decided to break out the acrylic paints and try out some natural abstracts while I still have time. I’ve never actually painted before, at least since elementary school, and while I was moving things for my parents this summer I found a small kit and decided I should bring it along to STL. So here we are with brushes, paint, fancy paper form a set of cards I bought and used literally once.
I’m not going to lie these designs are definitely really close to a person I follow on Instagram but I swear I picked original colors and two are of my own creation. I was honestly surprised at how hard it was to mix the colors that I really wanted. Luckily the set I have has like 18 colors or something so I’m at least not starting from primary colors which would have been a real bummer if I had to guess. Anyways I really enjoyed doing this. It was a great way to spend some time today and yesterday and I find it really satisfying to try something new
