School has definitely kept me busy this semester, but so has my photography. I have spent more time buying and selling gear/supplies than I ever have before. I Think it comes from buying a new camera and being inspired to create images, but also I am starting to fall into how I want to use my film photography. Its funny how often I reach for a film camera instead of a digital one these days and no I haven’t figured out yet how to choose just one camera. Over the past month I’ve sold two lenses, sold a broken camera, received my CLA’d camera that was still faulty, sent that back, bought 8 rolls of expired 120 slide film, sent 5 rolls of 35mm slide film to the wrong house, the list goes on.
The craziest thing to happen and the most stressful thing that I’ve had happen for a long time was the week+ I thought my 16 rolls of developed negatives were lost. The second I got to St. Louis I sent my shot rolls to be developed at ProPhoto Connection in Irvine, Ca. It ended up taking longer than usual as they had to wait to develop my E-6 film and ever time they sent an update the address was wrong on their form. Long story short the box never showed up at my door and I was broken. The thought of all those images from 2017 to now, from India to Idaho were going to be lost was a lot to take in. Luckily the package was found by USPS and later returned to me safe and sound. The pictures shared on this post are images from those rolls that I thought I’d never get to see. I hope you enjoy them as much as I do.
I am busy but I’m going to do my best to keep updating this blog with new content and Ideas. I’m hoping to share with you all perks of using Negative Lab Pro, film comparisons, and personal projects that I’m working on. So keep your eyes out for that!
